OUR MISSION
The mission of Lionheart League is to build up and empower adolescent boys to become strong men, to love and have compassion for the people around them, and to develop a desire and drive to reach their fullest potential.
Lionheart League is about training up adolescent boys to be men who are strong physically, socially, emotionally, and mentally, and who are strong in their core beliefs and values. Lionheart League is also about training up boys to have love and compassion for the people around them and to be open and vulnerable to share how they feel if they’re struggling, or need to be an encouragement to someone else.
Lionheart League has been created for boys grades 5-12. This curriculum has 17 lessons and can be taught over the span of a school year. For example, you could possibly teach the lessons on weeks one and three, or weeks two and four each month. On the weeks you don’t have lessons, your group can meet for lunch, discuss how things are going as they put into practice what you’re learning, and do different team building activities. Another option is to have your club every week after school for an hour. This allows time for physical activity, as well as the lesson. It might also allow you to meet with more than one group over the span of a year. The lessons take about 30 minutes, with discussion. I would recommend the group size staying between 12 and 15 boys, this number is ideal for discussions. The sidekicks can be used as additional learning and growing opportunities for your Lionheart League group, or they can be separate events available for all boys who are interested.
